NEWNEB Progress Report

Progress Report – NEWNEB Conference

This is new feature of our web site to inform all interested parties as to the progress on a monthly basis of this conference.

· December 2011 –

o We have met with key members of the IEEE to discuss cooperation in forming this conference with the full cooperation of the IEEE. Our first meeting was excellent and we expect this to become an extremely positive step in establishing the validity of this conference.

· November 2011 –

o A location has been tentatively set for the Holiday Inn at Long Island MacArthur Airport

o A meeting with NY-BEST has begun the effort to work with is excellent organization to help foster our efforts, more to follow.

o We have requested folks to participate with us as part of steering committee. To date we have received over 25 responses from industry and utilities of interested parties who want to be part of our committee. During December we will correspond with all respondents to determine an agenda and define a final list of participants in our steering committee.

· October 2011 – We have tentatively settled on the dates of October 7^th through the 9^th 2013.
