News: The site for the New Northeast Battery Conference
will be at the Holiday Inn Long Island - Islip Airport Planned dates October 7th, 8th and 9th, 2013 - Monday
through Wednesday.
Our concept
for the New Northeast Battery Conference is to provide a forum specifically geared to utility DC professionals.
The goal is to have utility professionals dominate the sessions and present their issues while relying on industry
to provide solutions. The format, although not completely determined would allow for papers delivered by utility professionals
and industry professionals on a wide range of relevant topics. Some of the possible topics could include;
·Utility DC maintenance practices
·Differences between DC power used for generation vs. T&D and communications.
·NERC and FERC concerns
·Application engineering as it relates to all the possible components; batteries, chargers,
converters, inverters, switching etc.
·Techniques for
determine load profiles.
·How
to size systems.
We plan providing our first New Northeast Battery
Conference to occur by the fall of 2013 and to host it, on Long Island, near Islip MacArthur Airport.
