line. This revolutionary patented design of a diagnostic
unit is designed to provide a warning of impending failure for a generator site’s electrical starting system. The Start
Alert unit monitors both the actual current flow into multiple starters and the voltage during cranking on the DC battery
system. It has operator adjustable high and low current alarms and low battery voltage alarms with lights, dry contacts, and
optional digital outputs or wireless interface options.

Maintenance
facilities managers can now see immediately, even if an engine has started on an exercise run, that the electrical starting
system has been compromised in some way and is now marginal for a future starting attempt. It is easy to take
it to the job. This is a predictive maintenance system which allows for programmed restoration or replacement
of batteries, starter motor or other components , before a catastrophic total failure. The unit pictured above also features
the popular “Best Battery Selector” starter battery diode isolation system in a combination unit.
